Design Process

Design of internment space is developed through a collaborative design process involving cemetery management and trustees. Development objectives are clarified and conceptual alternatives are explored to identify the best approach to optimizing development, taking advantage of the positive characteristics of the site and minimizing the constraints presented by site and contextual issues. The preferred design approach is refined through illustrative drawings and financial modeling that facilitate the discussions of cemetery personnel and trustees in understanding the aesthetic and practical characteristics of the design.
