A master plan for rehabilitation of this 90 acre turn-of-the-century estate was developed by HWA in 2001. The critical planning issue was the transition of the property from a private estate to a public reservation. The master plan made recommendations for the accommodation of visitation, preservation of the character-defining features of the site, rehabilitation of gardens and structures, and identification and protection of habitats and strategies for continued agricultural use of the property.
