Hines Wasser & Associates completed site planning and landscape plans for a LEED Gold Certified five-acre office, conference and educational facility focused on land conservation and ecology. Storm water mitigation is achieved through a series of wet meadows, which filter runoff and create a diverse meadow habitat before the overflow reaches the existing wetlands. The planting design is based on reestablishing several native plant communities. Fieldstone walls of local fieldstone define the building landscape. Large slabs of bluestone pave the central courtyard gathering area and highlight entrances.
